About Sherlyn
Sherlyn, director of Sirocco Secrets Dance Company, has influenced the oriental dance landscape in Malaysia immeasurably. With a strong, dance background and having worked and studied extensively with famous masters and choreographers from Egypt, Turkey, Paris, USA and more, Sherlyn’s excellent reputation, talent and dance mastery has earned her critical acclaim, numerous television appearances, events and charity performances, royal audiences, newspaper articles and magazine features.
She has performed in a series of successful of acclaimed public performances, concerts and recitals for the past half decade for events organized by such organizations as Hour Glass, Chanel, MAS, NTV7, Astro and Her World Magazine etc, local and international television segments and shows such as Channel TVB8 and Astro. Sherlyn also choreographed for “A MILLION DOLLARS” show that is Malaysia luminaries charity foundation headed by Lion-Parkson Group. This charity drive commenced with a weekly TV series aired on TVB8 throughout Asia Pacific.
Among her most illustrious audiences were the King and Queen of Malaysia, Middle Eastern royalty and the Egyptian ambassador. In 2010, she a Winner of an International online dance competition casting for Bellydance Evolution (USA) which is a world class dance festival and show featuring top artists in the field of Middle Eastern Dance and Music. She has traveled to performed in China, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong and Holland.
