ABOUT SHEZLY
Shezly Mahendra has been performing as a dancer for 15 years and choreographing for 8 years. She has trained with Natyadarshan School Of Classical Indian Dance in Sydney Australia and has performed at numerous Bollywood events such as A R Rahman Concert, Punjabi movie "Virsa" lead dancer in song Tere Naina, Australian Dance Festival 2009, Jazzy B Concert, Bollywood dance special on Australian Idol 2005, etc.
She has danced and choreographed with well known dance groups based in Sydney such as Mango and Melange dance and has performed in various stage productions with Melange and was a choreographer and lead dancer for Melange 'Bollygrooves' stage production.

Bollywood dancing is a commercial name for modern Indian dancing. It's a combination of classical Indian dance (which is the base), folk dancing such as Bhangra and sometimes has a Latino and Arabic influence. It's fun and very expressive and there's a lot of deep meaning behind music in the films. You can actually express what the music means, through the graceful movements of the body.

You will be taken through the basic hand and face gestures from classical indian dance style through to the energetic Bhangra movements of shoulders, hips and legs, finishing up with a routine that will leave you feeling like you've just stepped of a Bollywood movie set!!
Come and learn the hottest new dance craze and get a great workout to boot! Feel free to dress up and wear any indian accessories, bangles or bhindis, (shoes not necessary) and it's not just for girls, guys are very welcome to join in the fun.
