ABOUT SAMRA
Samra began belly dancing as a hobby while living in the Middle East in Sultanate of Oman from 1984 till 1987. Her mentor was an Egyptian friend. She continued her instruction in Adelaide in 1990.
She has participated in workshops with Egypt's most renowned masters of dance, Raqia Hassan, Dr.Mo Geddawi and Yousry Sharif.
Between 1996 and 1998,Samra had been a regular performer in Singapore at "Cleopatra", Middle Eastern Restaurant and has performed at numerous notable venues including Raffles, Hilton Mandarin, Westin, Four Seasons, Shangri La and Hotel Continental. She has also committed her time and participated in various charity events. She performed at the first Singapore WOMAD in 1998 and many private functions at Country Clubs, and the wedding of former national soccer Captain, Fandi Ahmad. She has featured in Woman's Weekly magazine, the Straits Times, Berita Harian and on local and International TV.
Throughout the years, Samra has mastered many styles of Oriental dance including Classical, Milaya Il Laf, Khaleegy, Pharonic, Saiidi and Modern Arabic. Her passion for the dance, style, appearance and personality are so strong that she has often been mistaken for a native Egyptian performer.

Beginner Belly Dance

This workshop is suitable for people who have no experience with Belly Dance and would like to understand what the overall belly dance is.
Drum Solo
Sunday, June 18th 1:00pm-3:30pm
THB1,000 (in advance) THB1,250 (at door)
This workshop is for students who took level 1 Belly Dance class at Rum Puree or have experience for basic techniques. Class will focus on more isolation details and layering.
